.bank: Requirement for re-verification every two years

30.12.2016 13:00

We would like to draw your attention to the following: fTLD’s Security Requirement #20 (https://www.ftld.com/docs/fTLD-2016-Security-Requirements.pdf) specifies that "Registry Operator must re-verify registrants every two years or at domain renewal, whichever is first, or when there is a change to the registrant organization name."

In accordance with this requirement, all .bank domain names with a creation date in 2015 and with a registration term of three years or greater must be re-verified in 2017, unless they were renewed early in 2016. Further, any domain names created in 2015 with a three-year term, will also have a re-verification conducted in 2018 if they are renewed at that time. If there have been no changes since the 2017 re-verification, then a full re-verification will not be needed at the time of renewal.

Please note that this requirement for re-verification will also apply to .insurance domains.
